Project used exclusively by the military to assist with incidents.•If you are not a military firefighter and would like to receive notifications of incidents in progress, you look for CBMSC Citizen, available at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cbm .sc.gov.br.cbmsccidadaoFirecast CBMSC is an open-source android application whose objective is to streamline the incident dispatch process and communication between CBMSC vehicles and the Santa Catarina Military Fire Brigade Operations Center (COBOM) through smartphones and tablets, in a way that results in the reduction of the response time, thus guaranteeing better services provided to the population. When the COBOM dispatcher commits the vehicle to the incident, it automatically sends all the information recorded during its generation to the mobile device that is in the vehicle. Instantly, the mobile device starts sending its coordinates so that it is possible to monitor its geographic location in real time.Initially called E-Fireman Mobile, the Firecast application had its first version launched in October 2014, with only three functions available: monitoring the receipt of incidents from the vehicle, updating the vehicles situation in the event and opening the "Google Maps" application. ” with the event address. In December 2014, a Technical Cooperation Term was signed with the Igarapé Institute, based in Rio de Janeiro, enabling the implementation of the video recording tool through the application, a function seen in the Copcast application, developed by the aforementioned institute. With that, the E-Bombeiro Mobile application was renamed “Bombcast”.During 2015, the application received other updates in its development and in its identity: the name was changed to Firecast CBMSC and it was possible to implement the georeferencing function by cell phone, thus allowing the sending of the exact position of the vehicle to the emergency system database.
